Alexander Yellow Loosestrife



The botanical name of Alexander Yellow Loosestrife is Lysimachia punctata. It can be also commonly known as Variegated Yellow Loosestrife. This perennial plant thieves in full sun areas. The blooming time is in the middle of summer with the most active development from late June till the beginning of August.

The average length of the plant is approximately 2 feet; however it can be more or less in certain conditions. It produces splendid creamy white variegated leaves irregularly around the margins; that is why it is highly –appraised even when it does not flowers. The leaf has the length of 1-1.5 in. 

In direct sun the white parts of the Lysimachia punctata 'Alexander'’s leaves gets brownish shade. This perennial plant adorns the grasslands with its occurring rosettes of foliage that show flushed pink color. It bears delicate butter –yellowish to golden-yellow blooms, having the diameter of about 1 in.
