60th Anniversary of Keukenhof Flower Garden

In 2009 Keukenhof in the Netherlands - the world’s biggest flower garden with a spread over 32 ha and about 7 million flower bulbs of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and others- marks its 60th anniversary. This year Keukenhof will welcome its quests every day from March 19 to May 21 between 8 am and 7.30 pm.

Among the major attractions are a mosaic of over 25,000 flowers in the shape of the Statue of Liberty, a car parade with more than 50 vehicles along a 40-kilometre route between Nordwijk to the park (it is planned in April, 25) and Lily Show with nearly 30,000 lily flowers in performance (it is planned from May 14 to 21).  In addition, the guests of Keukenhof Flower garden will get fantastic chance to visit the flower beds in a boat.

Being opened just for several weeks, Keukenhof Flower gardens attracts more than 800,000 visitors annually. An adult visit costs 19 dollars with discounts for senior citizens, children under the age of 11 and groups.
