There are people who suffer from an abnormal and persistent fear of flowers. Such people are overwhelmed by unreasonable anxiety even realizing they face no threat from any blooms. They can feel fear from any flower type and any part of the plant.
Scientifically it is called “Anthophobia”. Even when grown-ups suffering from anthophobia understand that there is no reason for panic, they experience panic attacks or severe anxiety.
By the way, Elizabeth I of England felt big anxiety on seeing or even thinking about rose flowers.
