Flowery Appeal of Peace in Bangalore’s Lalbagh, India

A well-known, more than 240 acres-garden Lalbagh in Bangalore was overfilled with thousands of people who were pleased to attend a flower show that is an integral part of Republic Day festivities.  It started on the 17th of January and finished on the 26th of January that is Republic Day.

The flower show was set up by the Horticulture Department and Mysore Horticultural Society to celebrate Republic Day.

The theme of this year flower show is World Peace; it has been selected as in 2008 India was under the terror attacks in Mumbai and some other its parts.

It is displayed by an uncommon edifice made of flowers in the form of a globe featuring 2 doves at the top of it. Nearly 100, 000 roses have been utilized to make it inside the wide-known Glass House at Lalbagh.

At the flower show every visitor was delighted by viewing 350 flower types, including roses, geraniums, cockscombs, colosias, marigolds and much more.

All the flowering plants are set up in designs characteristic to different countries. Beside of, everyone had the opportunity to get numerous garden –related products, such as gadgets, manures, containers, seeds, plants, herbal products and such.

Other not less interesting attraction of this special event was a display of hybrid vegetables, along with exotic ones (broccoli, zuchini and Chinese cabbage) that are now gaining popularity in India.
