How to Make the Holiday Garland

To make a wonderful garland that can be adorn doorway, fireplace mantle, kitchen or table you will need

•    0, 25 to 0, 5 in-clippers

•    diameter rope for thick g

•    jute twine for narrow garland

•     24 or 26 gauge spool wire.

•     Greens and blooms that can be dried easily. You can select among eucalyptus, pines, bear grass, pepper berries, lemon leaves, boxwoods, hydrangeas, statices, straw flowers, yarrows and the like.

Procedure:

•    Choose the greens and the blooms for your future garland

•     Measure the table or any place you are going to decorate with the garland and 24″. Afterwards cut the rope.

•    Loops at every tip of the rope should be tied in order to hang the garland

•    Every flower and greenery should be cut into piece of nearly 6″ to 7″ long. In addition, it is advisable to cut a couple of taller and stronger pieces of greenery, about 10″ to 12″ tall.

•    In your hand, create tiny “nosegays or bundles”; use all the types of greenery and blooms.

•    Beginning at one end, lay one “nosegay” on the top of the rope.

•    Set up it with 24″ gauge spool wire to the rope by winding the wire a couple of times around the stems of the “nosegay.” The wire should not be cut.

•    Add another “nosegay” so tips can overlap stems of the 1st one; then bond to rope.

•    For getting a sturdy garland should adjust one of the longer or stronger pieces of greens to the back side of the rope. The pieces should have the length of 2 “nosegays.”

•    Continue the process- 2 “nosegays” front and one longer or stronger piece of greens- until you the rope will be filled with splendid greens, blooms or berries.

•    Catch the wire under the last loop of wire.
