Some Rules on Making Your Own Flower Arrangement

Don’t be afraid to start making your own flower arrangements, even if you have never tried it before. It is not necessary to possess extraordinary skills to create a splendid arrangement from silk/artificial flowers.

Silk flowers are an excellent choice for beginners because they are easy to work with and last forever.

•    The best way to begin with is to decide where the flowers will be placed. Note an arrangement serving as nice centerpiece for the table should differ the one placed in your bedding or children’s room.

•     The second step is choosing a vase. As the matter of fact, the vase’s dimension and form usually defines the size of the floral arrangement.

•    There are no restrictions in making your own arrangement. Be creative and let all your ideas come true. Some of my ideas are to take blooms in the one color but different shades. For example, why not use some blooms that vary in hues of yellow ranging from pale lemon to dark golden. You can also use either warm hues (e. g. yellows, oranges and reds) or cool ones (e. g. blues, purples and greens).  Try to operate with 3-5 colors with just the one to dominate. It is best to choose three or more colors with one of them being more dominant than the others.

•    In dependence of the place you want to position your arrangement in you can select among a horizontal style or a vertical one. The flower arrangement in a vertical style will adorn     your corner table, while the one in a horizontal style will surely match a buffet table or dining table. For achieving the better effect I advise you to utilize an odd number of blooms.

•    It is up to you either to begin your arrangement with greens and filler flowers or with the blooms. I would recommend you to try both methods in order to discover the one that will be convenient for you.

•    And, finally try not to overfill the vase with the flowers as it will give a messy appearance to your flower arrangement.
