Some Tips on Arranging the Flowers

•    One of the great ways to set the bloom is in its natural state. For instance, if it is long or short, try arranging it to fit its characteristics. If you use vines allow them cascading around the base of your floral arrangements and leave some space for blooms to open, close and the like.

•    Any flower arrangement should be started from the base that should be of well quality. The most of florists use floral foams, chicken wire and frogs. Floral foam is of great usage as it keeps every bloom in its place. But it has one drawback- being inserted into foam the ends of the stems are covered by it and clogged. Beside of the blooms last not for so long. The same is with frogs. As for chicken wire it gives a metal material to the water that may affect the blooms negatively. The best choice with wires is the one adjusted around the container’s top.

•    A more natural option of beginning a floral arrangement is to make a base with full and thick leaves, which will be suitable to blooms.

•    While cutting flower stems, keep their foliage as the best greens are the own leaves of the flower that can be arranged around and in flowers.

•    If a vase for the flowers is too big for the quantity of flowers that will be utilized you can use branches.

•    To make a splendid base for your flower arrangement you can tie groups of blooms, e. g. snapdragons, with the help of thread or twine. By the way, you can use the same technique if want to secure longer stems of the same kind of bloom.

•    The blooms with tight buds make fantastic addition to texture and natural display of the whole flower arrangement.

•    Very often floral arrangements are 1-1,5 times the length of the container. But bloom stems gathered in a vase with their heads glancing over the rim can be very spectacular.

•    Pay special attention to the container as the right container can adorn the floral arrangement itself, displaying the blooms in an uncommon way.
