A wild flower arrangement typically is made of dainty small and lovely flowers such as Alstroemeria, Freesia, Yarrow, or Crocosmia, adorned by the long stems of the scabiosa or lisianthus.
Queen Anne’s lace, Monte Casino asters, or Misty Blue limonium are perfect fillers adding to the wild flower arrangements depth and texture. Such filler flowers as asparagus ferns and bear grass provide with a delicate touch. It is up to you whether to create a wildflower arrangement in a vase or basket.
• Cut the stems on slant-wise under water.
• Singe the stem ends of the blooms chosen by you, arranging them in such a way to get a tall arrangement nearly 1.5 times the height of a vase or basket.
• Start with the longest flowers, for instance, hydrangeas, then adding the smallest ones.
• Allow the blooms to fall naturally.
• Go on adding the flowers till the arrangement gets its subtle shape.
• Compliment the arrangement with wild flowers and poppies.
• Make a loose but decent final shape using small-sized fillers.
