During the wintertime the sun rays are at their lowest, usually slanting. The winters become milder, and it is not so good. However, mild weather gives us new planting and gardening opportunities. And it is the very time to take advantage of any rays of light.

Why not find the warmest places of your garden, where you can get pleasure from the winter days? A summerhouse turning to the south and places under deciduous trees is typically a nice sport for hiding from the heat of the sunlight.

Beside of during the wintertime, they can be a warming place, where you can see your garden. Namely here you are free to plant several fragrant trees and shrub. Be sure, they will spread their aroma with the heat of the winter sun.

By the way south-setting brick or stone walls perfectly get the sun’s heat, and make great spot for planting winter-flowering plants such as shrubby honeysuckles, Lonicera fragrantissimas, and viburnums.

No doubt, these flowering planst will be delight to look at during long winter season.
