Iceland Poppy
The botanical name of the Iceland Poppy is Papaver nudicaule. It represents a genus consisting of biennial or perennial flowering plants growing in the arctic regions of northern Unites States and northern Europe, and spreading eastward in cooler climates.
The plant produces bi-colored and white, salmon, rose, pink, creamy, golden or orange blooms singly growing on an upright stem covered with hairs. The stem’s height is about 1 foot. The flowers are big and papery, having the shape of the bowl. They spread slight scent. Iceland Poppy’s feathery leaves come in bluish-green color. Their length is from1 to 6 in. All parts of this plant are toxic.
One of the popular seed strains are Champagne Bubbles, Party Fun, Illumination and many others.
