The botanical name of safari sunset is Leucadendron. This is a very large and various genus of protea-type plants ranging from tiny trees, plants serving as ground covering and large, bushy shrubs. The head of the bloom has a bright red color. Safari Sunset may be divided into two categories.

The 1st is single stemmed flowers with the one long and strong stem which borne a single head at the top. The other variety is a spray with a lot of stems, branching out with four or more heads on each stem. The flowers are in fact a cone surrounded by large colorful bracts that are frequently mistaken for the flower itself. Safari sunset is well-known for its leaves rather than its blooms.


The plant is available at any season of the year in the color of deep wine. The cut flower’s life lasting is about 7-10 days.
