Stephanotis




Having such alternative names as Madagascar jasmine, floradora or waxflower, Stephanotis floribunda originates from Malaya to Madagascar. Its name comes from the Greek word ‘stephanos’, meaning "crown," and ‘otos’, meaning "ear," referring to the five ear-resembling appendages to the staminal crown borne at the bloom' centre.

The flower’s oval leaves are dark green’ the blossoms’ are nice, odorous and waxy tubular-like white flowers that are valued as wedding flowers. They are often sent for special human as houseplants.
