Azalea

Azaleas are blooming shrubs belonging to the genus Rhododendron. The 1st key different feature between azaleas and the rest of the rhododendron genus is their size. The 2nd is their bloom growth; rhododendrons produce their flowers in stripers, by the majority of azalea plant form one bloom per flowering stem.

Having a lot of stems they represent a fantastic abundance of colors within the whole flowering season.  Azaleas are distinguished by the blossoms flowering all at once, in a spectacular show for about a couple of spring months.  But there is the exception that is a small group of azalea plants growing their blossoms in terminal clusters.

Plant lovers have cultivated azaleas for a long period of time. Today there are more than 10,000 various cultivars.  Some commercial nurseries in Semmes, Alabama are main national providers of azalea flowering plant in America.
Many cities host springtime festivals and celebrate the flowers of the azalea.
