Dried Flower Wreaths

Any flower embellishment appeals by its natural beauty and elegance. It is up to everyone either to decorate his/her home with fresh or dried flowers. Both fresh and dried flowers make a wonderful addition to any room of the house.

Fresh flower arrangements are loved by their fresh look and pleasing fragrance they spread in the air. As for dried flower arrangement they help us to keep a small piece of nature in our home for quite a long period of time.

Today I would like to discuss a very interesting topic that is dried flower wreaths. No doubt, they give a showy way to hold nature’s beauty alive for a couple of years.

Very frequently those who make wreaths rely on silk foliage and blooms for decorations. One of the main reason of their choice is that fresh leaves and blossoms will fade. But who said you cannot prevent the plants’ withering? As the matter of fact you can dry then or preserve in ways that let their usage in splendid ornamental wreaths.

Do you know that some blooms can be even dried on the plant itself?  The plant should be hung in a comparatively dark, dry place for quite a long time. With the proper care you are free to preserve the beauty of the bloom. Other blooms should be dried in a silica compound or a glycerin solution.

Dried blooms are widely utilized for making some of the most outstanding wreaths. By utilizing fresh flowers, we get a splendid arrangement, which, unfortunately, last not for so long as we want. Dried flower wreaths are the ones that are constant reminder of infinite and unfading natural beauty.

However, dried flower wreaths will never last as long as the wreaths made of silk/artificial blooms. Thus, I would recommend you to hang your dried flower wreath far from constant foot traffic and direct sunlight. If you maintain it in a proper way, a natural dried flower wreath can be preserved for many years, providing incomparable beauty.
