Pleasing Smell of Success for Farmers

Floriculture has assisted in improving of the fortunes of farmers in northeastern mountainous region of Vietnam. Though the farmers did not expect they could earn much money on flower growing, namely the flowers today bring good benefits to the Le Loi commune, Hoanh Bo district and the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh.

Actually farmers of these regions have been engaged in floriculture during the past ten years. Once they harvest summer and fall rice crop, they hurry to start their bloom crop.

Their key aim is to grow splendid blossoms for the Lunar New Year festival that is called Tet. By the way northeastern farmers are among flower suppliers of Ha Long city, many other provincial cities and even Hanoi.

Beside of there are lots of tourists who visit these locations for Tet. They also buy flowers to mark the festivity.

Who could imagine that the flowers would perfectly grow in such soil! Today flower growing is one of the major sources of getting profit for the majority of inhabitants of this region. Namely floriculture resulted great living and cultural improvements for the region in overall.

The Agricultural Extension Association of province is going to assist farmers in improving their knowledge on growing flowers in specialized areas.
