Tips on Silk Flower Arrangements

Making arrangement from silk flowers is almost similar to creating the one from the fresh blooms. First, you need to begin with short greens around the top of the vase for holding longer flower stems in place while you adding them.

To make loose and airy flower arrangement the blooms should be used in odds.  Begin around the vase base use an odd number of the one type flowers in equal spaces. The second layer in direction to the middle should be a little bit longer.

Once all the blooms are used, stay apart and look if there is something to improve. For instance, to get a round form atop of your arrangement you can lessen the quantity of blooms in every layer.

If you prefer to create a dense and rich flower arrangement then it would be better to group the blooms according similar coloring and texture.

Once colors are sorted, it has a much greater visual effect than if they are scattered throughout your arrangement. You can use hydrangeas, sunflowers, big mums, and rose flowers. Sticking to this kind of arrangement, you will not need plenty of filler flowers that sometimes lead to a very messy flower display.

So just try to create a major circle around the bottom, starting the color-sorting; afterwards add a long-stemmed bloom in the middle, filling in between with groups of flowers.

No matter what kind of arrangement you select, strive using different heights and depths. The key thing is that the central blooms should be the longest.

After all the blooms are in their place arrange a couple of flowers a bit deeper than those surrounding it. Beside of make a couple of blooms a bit raised from the rest.
